La forma del tempo is a sculptural installation loosely inspired by the eponymous text by art historian George Kubler, who theorized that “art history is the history of things,” including not only poetically useless beauty, but all human artifacts. The sculpture evokes nature—bark, rock—but does not deny the hand of the artist in its form, resembling a large stylized metronome toppled onto its side, with the rhythmic rod replaced by a soaring curved line topped with a small head.
Initially exhibited in institutional shows (2001 – Naples Between Sounds and Colors, Villa Comunale, Naples / 2002 – VIII edition of Maggio dei Monumenti, Palazzo Carafa, Maddaloni, Naples), it is now on permanent display in the boardroom of the National Park of Vesuvius at the Medicean Castle in Ottaviano.
