Lieve is an evolving artistic cycle centered around a minimal yet powerful icon: a leaf enclosing the stylized outline of a human figure. This symbolic image first appeared in 2005 with the installation Tangle, exhibited at Not Gallery – Contemporary Art Factory in Naples. Over time, it has acquired a universal significance, becoming the core of a multifaceted visual language.
In 2007, it became the central element of the project for the Monument to Peace and to the Fallen of All Wars in Pastena (SA), demonstrating its ability to convey deep collective and symbolic meaning through a form that is both simple and archetypal.
Through paintings, graphic works, installations, and conceptual pieces, Lieve unfolds as a poetic reflection on lightness, fragility, and the human connection to nature. A distinctive yet open sign, it lends itself to multiple expressive interpretations while preserving its evocative power.
